I had a fantastic time at Melfort House. The location is absolutely stunning, overlooking the loch with beautiful gardens. My room was spacious and beautifully furnished, offering incredible views. Matthew, the host, demonstrated impressive culinary skills. Every meal felt like fine dining. breakfast was particularly memorable. I enjoyed communal dining experiences with interesting conversations. I faced inconvenience as there was no early access to the house on my arrival day, forcing me to wait outside in the rain. the lack of tea options in the afternoon was a bit disappointing. Still, Matthew's warm hospitality made up for many of these minor inconveniences.

Stunning views and exceptional hospitality
We stayed for just one night, and it was a dream come true! The house is set against a breathtaking backdrop by the loch, and the charming rooms felt like stepping into a fairytale. Matthew is an incredible host, making us feel welcome and serving a breakfast that featured locally sourced ingredients perfectly cooked. It truly exceeded our expectations! One minor note is that the room doors are not lockable, which might be a concern for some.

I had a lovely stay in a cozy room with a stunning view of the garden, and the breakfast was just top-notch, served with a view of the loch. The peaceful lounge and beautiful garden made for perfect spots to unwind. The only downside was needing to wait until 4 PM to check in, which was a bit of a hassle after a long drive, but overall it was a great experience! 😊

We had an amazing time with our group of friends! The location was stunning, and we checked out local farms filled with new lambs. Rooms were spacious and clean. The staff's hospitality was top-notch! Just a heads up , dinner is served communal style, so be ready to socialize.
One downside was the afternoon tea—don’t expect a full spread. It was a bit misleading compared to places we've visited before.
